India Festivals – Pulikkali Tiger festival in Thrissur

I have to say my favorite was the Pulikkali Tiger festival. I found this to be such a fun and interesting event. I saw artists painting tiger faces on the bellies of men and seeing the men prepare for the procession. There was a 72-year old man who had been participating in the Tiger festival since he was 14—amazing! This was an event enjoyed not only by these men but also by their families and by the people living in and near Thrissur. My visit to Kerala was a special time. You too can visit Kerala during Onam.
