Here, the focus is on the wild leopard, one of nature’s most magnificent and mysterious creatures. Living in the rock kopjes which dot the landscape, these great cats descend to the fields hunting for their natural prey — goats, deer, monkeys and birds.
At dawn and dusk a driver and an expert tracker/guide will take you, via customized 4×4 safari jeeps, on an incredible ride through this densely populated leopard habitat.
The leopards, though, are not the only wildlife you will find at Jawai.
The nearby Jawai Bandh (reservoir) attracts flamingos, cranes and wild geese to the area, while the rare Indian Wolf, Sloth Bear and antelope can be seen within the camp’s extensive wilderness.

The accommodations are spectacular, as well. The camp’s eight opulent tents are adorned in canvas, leather and stainless steel furnishings and striking wildlife photography – all with private decks that overlook the natural drama of Jawai’s environment. A grand dining tent is the setting for organic, locally sourced (most from the camp’s extensive gardens) meals that can only be described as “perfection”. Meals can also be taken around the grounds, as formally or casually, as you like. To relax, unwind… or rewind, the Sujan Spa offers an array of customized treatments in its magical setting.
